The Hereford Buccaneers Welcome You

The season 2011-12 is now complete and the Buccaneers have achieved their original objective of yet again maintaining Division 2 skittles next season. The fact that only 3 teams got promoted and also relegated did help the matter although we were safe by 6 points come the conclusion of the season. With 2 out of the 4 teams that went up last year dropping straight back down it looks like we have found our weight.

The awards this year was a one man show with seasoned pro Brian Ridley returning to his form of yesteryear scooping the averages trophy with a final figure of 28.50 beating Tom Ross into second position with 28.38. Brian didn't stop there, he also collected the award for highest score of the season away at the Cross Keys with an impressive 48. The highest home score achieved was by Eddy Rundle who hit 39 against Evans SC in our game of the season.

Thoughts now turn to the summer league where we will just be out to have a bit of fun, skittles in shorts, get them knees out!

Thanks to all the players for turning up week after week throughout the season and also to the staff at the Buckingham for keeping us fed after home matches and providing us with the alley.
