Congratulations are in order as the Buccaneers recorded their third consecutive promotion in as many years. In a season where home form had left alot to be desired a final match against one time runnaway leaders M & B Sags always looked tricky on paper. The young Buc's boys though worked hard throughout the season and are turning out to be some cracking skittlers.
Also to savour was a back to back double over inter pub rivals Nalgo who suprisingly finished higher than us in the league. We now have the pleasure of beating them again next season! There is also a chance pre season to retain the Buckingham cup.
This seasons highest home score was indentical to last year with 41 being hit by James Ridley in the penultimate home game against Bunch of Bankers. Last seasons highest score was also emulated once more away from the buck with Tom Ridley smashing 46 at the Golden Lion! He now takes on the highest scorer saccolade jointly held by Mark Rundle and Kevin Davies last season.
Mark however does not end the season empty handed again picking up the shield awarded for highest seasonal average. Although somewhat down on last seasons incredible 31.23 his 2009/2010 average of 29.35 made him stand out from the rest as Mr consistent.
Credit should also be paid to young Liam Honeyborne and Josh Barnfield not only for there hard work sticking week in and week out, but also for their outstandling contributions as players.
Once again we would like to offer our sincere thanks to The Buckingham Public House of Whitecross Road in Hereford who play hosts to our home fixtures throughout the season.
The rest of the team can all be proud of the theat we have acheived and every pin this season has contributed towards the final result of promotion to Division 2!
The Buckingham serves a full menu of cooked food which is very tasty may I add and of exceptional value for money and has a healthy selection of beverages.
